cerulea
A new short film by
aj lambert
produced by
simone films
A young mother's fleeting wish to abandon her family comes true in an instant that ends up being the rest of her life.

CERULEA began as a simple story of an older woman wrestling with aging, and making a difficult choice between herself and her family. It evolved into something different: a science fiction micro-epic about the traumas that get passed down to us, the guilt around having complicated feelings about motherhood, and the bonds of love that we as mothers are nonetheless so desperate to forge with our children - even when we feel at our most incapable and unworthy.
